Art Anderson is excited to offer a talented Naval Architect/Marine Engineer Intern an opportunity to join our growing company and exciting work environment for the Summer of 2024. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they are learning and ready to take on the challenge of applying their education practically in both Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering disciplines.
Art Anderson is a dedicated team of Naval Architects, Marine Engineers, Civil Engineers, Architects, and Designers with strong ties in the traditional marine and heavy marine civil industries. As part of our team, you can expect to work on a wide variety of projects ranging from research vessel structural and mechanical modifications to new designs of unique floating structures to supporting waterfront construction projects of significant magnitude. If you are looking to diversify your engineering capabilities and be part of a dynamic and growing business, this may be the place for you!
You will gain experience in originating design work, performing calculations, and preparing drawings, reports, trade-off studies, and other technical documentation in accordance with accepted standards of care using both manual and computer methods. A baseline proficiency with AutoCAD, Rhino, GHS, and Microsoft Office are desired, and you can expect to improve your skills with these programs throughout the summer. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and writing skills, and strong teamwork and work ethics as you will frequently be engaged with team members of other disciplines from inside and outside of the company.

The hourly pay range for this position is between $18-$25/hr depending on experience and skillsets.
Students entering their senior year are desired. However, students entering their junior year will be considered. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
