REMOVE CHAINS AND STANCHIONS DRYDOCK 1

As the Designer of Record, Art Anderson provided engineering design services and subconsultant coordination to Triton Marine Construction on a design-build contract for drydock upgrades at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Bremerton, WA.

This project consisted of two parts. The first task was to remove approximately 1,100 feet of chains and stanchions around Drydock 1 and replace them with a removable pipe railing system. The second task was to install approximately 1,900 feet of a stainless-steel cable horizontal lifeline at the East and West altars of Drydock 5, to provide safe maintenance access of existing utilities.
